The Malaysian Council for Rehabilitation (MCR) welcomed members of the Asia and Pacific Disability Forum (APDF) from Korea for a site visit in preparation for the upcoming APDF Conference 2027, which will be hosted by MCR in Malaysia from 20–24 October 2027.

During the visit, the delegation visited the proposed hotel venue and the Pusat Rehabilitasi PERKESO Tun Abdul Razak in Melaka to gain a firsthand understanding of the facilities, accessibility and available services that will support the conference programme. The PERKESO centre provides comprehensive medical and vocational rehabilitation services and is located in Bandar Hijau, Hang Tuah Jaya, Melaka.

The site visit also served as an opportunity for MCR and APDF representatives to exchange ideas, discuss conference arrangements and assess the suitability of facilities for an international disability-focused event. Through this engagement, both parties strengthened their collaboration and continued preparations towards delivering a successful APDF Conference 2027 in Malaysia.

This visit marks an important step towards bringing regional disability organisations together in Malaysia and strengthening cooperation for a more inclusive and accessible Asia-Pacific.
